Eidos Montreal Confirms Layoffs in Official Statement
The announcement came via a post on the studio’s official LinkedIn page, where Eidos Montreal confirmed that it will be letting go of up to 75 staff members. The statement cites that the studio currently has no capacity to reallocate those affected to other projects.
In their message, the team made sure to emphasize that this decision in no way reflects the talent, passion, or dedication of the individuals affected, a sentiment we’ve sadly seen echoed by many studios navigating similar restructuring efforts. While the industry continues to grapple with shifting priorities, economic uncertainty, and project cancellations, it’s yet another blow to an already bruised workforce.
