New details on Battlefield 2042 reveal the game will officially be unveiled in June, and will launch sometime during the holidays this year.
After only vague hints in April, EA and DICE now gave concrete information about Battlefield 2042. The one big question that still exists about the series will only be clarified then: Is it set in a world war? In the modern era? In the future?
The massive news of the announcement with an approximate time comes from this tweet (and is wrapped in a nice pun, after all):
But when will this tremendous news be revealed?
We assume at EA’s E3 unveiling event EA Play Live, which takes place this year between 12 and 15 June.
And to add our two cents on the “big genre question”: Recently, screenshots of presumed gameplay were leaked that strongly suggest a modern military scenario.

The game is being developed by EA DICE, Criterion, DICE LA, and EA Gothenburg.
