E3 2023 Will Battle Summer Game Fest For Viewers
E3 2023 and Summer Game Fest 2023 will battle it out for viewers next year after Geoff Keighley announces Summer Game Fest 2023 will be a physical event.

WHEN IS E3 2023?
E3 last took place in 2019, just before the COVID-19 pandemic swept the globe, but the Electronic Entertainment Expo will return in 2023.
Also returning in 2023 is the highly successful Summer Game Fest hosted by Geoff Keighley.
Keighley announced Summer Game Fest 2023 by announcing it will be a digital and physical event.
Summer Game Fest 2022 did feature an invite-only physical event called Play Days, in which a few hundred journalists got to play a few upcoming games and DLC in an informal setting.
As for the size of the SGF 2023 physical event, it remains to be seen if it will be opened to the wider public or once again be an invite-only gathering.
E3 2023 will, however, open to millions of public visitors as it looks to make a grand return after the last couple events were canceled.
Dates for both events are not yet confirmed, but we don’t expect them both to run alongside each other, but instead compliment one another with developers and publishers promoting their games at both shows.
