Dune: Awakening, the upcoming survival MMO from developer Funcom, got an exclusive gameplay reveal at Gamescom Opening Night Live 2024. The trailer also gave a rough PC release date of early 2025.

Set on the desert planet of Arakkis, players will join the endless battle over Spice on the most dangerous planet in the universe. This is your chance to explore a different Dune without Paul Atreides, with new factions, and where the Fremen are missing. It’s a chance for players to create their own story.
Your decisions will forge new alliances, break friendships, and decide who controls the Spice. Your battle for survival will require you to scavenge for resources, build a home, explore the sands, and trade for supplies and craft gear. It’s your Arakkis, your world.
