Well, the next free game on the Epic Games Store has already been revealed to be F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch. This week we can try Maid of Sker, the creepy first-person survival horror game, and Arcade Paradise, the arcade management game, but next week brings us another single player game with a steampunk-style action-adventure.

Well, F.I.S.T., the steampunk metroidvania by TiGames, will be the next weekly free game on the Epic Games Store. An unmissable appointment and a fun way to give a chance to some games that we wouldn’t normally notice.

F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch will be precisely available for free from 25 July to 1 August 2024. So arriving next week and replacing Maid of Sker and Arcade Paradise. What is F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch and how to save for the Steam version

FIST, an acronym for Forged In Shadow Torch, is a metroidvania-style game that combines steampunk elements and an entirely anthropomorphic cast. A game developed by the TiGames team and published by the famous video hosting platform in the Asian market bilibili in 2021. The second game published by bilibili on Steam, as well as the second game from the TiGames team, with a third title in the action RPG The Wind Risings soon to arrive.

Regarding F.I.S.T, as already mentioned the game is a 3D metroidvania with the typical side-scrolling view, where we will play as Rayton, an anthropomorphic rabbit from Torch City. A city invaded and colonized by the Legion of Machines 6 years before the events. After his friend is imprisoned, former resistance soldier Rayton, equips his mechanical fist and joins the resistance once again, finding himself involved in something bigger than he initially anticipated. Accompanied by a very pleasant graphic style that in some ways reminds of the great classics of side-scrolling, all on a cleverly used Unreal Engine 4, featuring Ray Tracing and DLSS support once DX12 is enabled. And a total of 3 weapons available that we can use freely to create combos, exploiting their peculiarities depending on the enemies we encounter, including bosses.

In short, a game definitely not to be missed for big metroidvania fans, but also an accessible game for newcomers or those looking for a pleasant sidescroller experience.
