Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 will be including Bam Margera after all, thanks to Tony Hawk insisting he comes back for the remaster

The long-awaited reveal of the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 remaster has dropped and fans couldn’t be more stoked. Set to release on July 11, 2025, the game will hit PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. A celebration of classic skate culture and gameplay, this remaster brings together two of the most iconic entries in the franchise.
But beyond the release date and platforms, another headline quickly took over the conversation and one that had longtime fans of the series raising eyebrows: Where is Bam Margera?
Bam Margera Is Back In The Lineup
Bam Margera’s career has been anything but quiet. For better or worse, it’s been a wild ride, from MTV fame and skateboarding stardom to public controversies and personal struggles. In the world of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, signs of the franchise pulling away from Bam had already shown up years ago when he was scrubbed from the THUG 2 poster in the 2020 Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 remaster. That move stirred up a fair amount of backlash, especially among fans who remembered his iconic role in THPS 3.
So, when Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 was announced and Bam was noticeably absent from the classic skater lineup during the reveal, many assumed he’d been left out again.
But the chatter took a turn after a podcast convo confirmed what fans were hoping for: Bam Margera will be part of the remaster. According to VGC, none other than Tony Hawk himself stepped in and demanded for Bam’s inclusion.
This detail came to light during an episode of The Live Club podcast, where co-host Roger Bagley revealed that Activision originally said no to adding Bam. However, Tony Hawk insisted that Bam be included. In addition, Activision apparently flew Bam out at the last minute to get his body scan and complete other necessary preparations to get him in the game.
As of now, there’s no official statement from Activision regarding the behind-the-scenes back-and-forth. But Bam Margera’s return has been unofficially confirmed and fans of the classic THPS 3 lineup can breathe a sigh of relief.
As of writing, the skaters for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 are Tony Hawk, Bam Margera, Bucky Lasek, Steve Caballero, Kareem Campbell, Geoff Rowley, Andrew Reynolds, Elissa Steamer, Chad Muska, Eric Koston, Rodney Mullen, Jamie Thomas, Rune Glifberg, Bob Burnquist, Jamie Foy, Chloe Covell, Rayssa Leal, Zion Wright, and Yuto Horigome.
