Dark Souls III New Patch Coming Out Next Week

The Dark Souls III new patch is announced by From Software. The new patch 1.10 update mainly contains fixes of issues in the PvP aspect of the game. This rolls out next February 8, Wednesday.

Most notable among the fixes is the removal of the player invasion when the host player is in a boss battle. The ability to do this is actually a glitch and was not supposed to happen. Kimmundi, Bandai Namco Community Manager said, “I know some of you guys really liked the Boss Room invasions glitch, however, this was not part of the game originally, and you must understand that it was frustrating for a part of the player base.”

Here’s the list of complete patch notes via the Dark Souls 3 site:

  • Fixed issue where a player could invade another player during a boss battle.
  • Fixed issue where an enchantment could be applied to weapons which normally could not be enchanted.
  • Fixed issue where, when items are used while casting magic, display glitches could occasionally occur.
  • Fixed issue where it was possible to cancel immediately into a second magic spell after casting the first one.
  • Fixed issue where the first part of a skill action could be skipped.
  • Fixed issue where a single item could be used indefinitely.

Also, the game’s servers will be down for maintenance the same day that the patch will be rolled out. Maintenance will only take about two hours for PC and PlayStation 4 and about six hours for Xbox One. The new patch is available for download after the system maintenance.

In other news, the last DLC for Dark Souls III called The Ringed City will be available across all three platforms on March 28, 2017.
