Jason Blundell, a veteran developer known for his time at Treyarch and with the Call of Duty franchise, including Zombies, has announced his latest venture, Dark Outlaw Games, a new first-party PlayStation studio.
Working under PlayStation Studios, Blundell says it’s a privilege and “humbling” while confirming the studio is looking to hire ahead of its first game.

Dark Outlaw Games is a new first-party studio founded by veteran video game director and developer Jason Blundell, working under PlayStation Studios.
Sony and Blundell remain quiet on what the studio’s first game will be, but speaking with the legendary gaming journalist Jeff Gerstmann on his YouTube channel, Blundell says for him its “about the game, not about the studio.”
What Could the First Game Be?
While we don’t know what Dark Outlaws’ first game will be, it’s unlikely to be a live-service game, as PlayStation canceled several last year and shut down Concord in what Sony described as a change in strategy.
