Cyberpunk 2077: Next-Gen Version & First Expansion
In their latest earnings call, CD Projekt RED updated us on the major update and DLC expansion that is in development for Cyberpunk 2077.

WHEN IS THE CYBERPUNK 2077 EXPANSION RELEASING?
Cyberpunk 2077 was released on December 10, 2020, for Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC, and it continues to receive mixed reviews across all platforms.
That release date was not only met after several delays, but some felt it still seemed rushed as Cyberpunk 2077 suffered from graphical and gameplay-breaking bugs, particularly on consoles.
In a recent press release, CDPR announced that they continue to work on the next-gen version of Cyberpunk 2077 and expect to launch it in the first quarter of 2022, with many believing it to be between March and April 2022.
They also revealed that the expected Cyberpunk 2077 expansion will release with the next-gen update in Q1 2022.
It’s good news too for The Witcher 3 fans, as CDPR said that the game’s next-gen update is also ongoing and looks set for release in Q2 2022.
To meet the deadlines and expectations, the development team has been enlarged to cope with the demand.
These next-gen versions of The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 will be free to download for those who already own the games.
Unfortunately, it looks like a Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer mode is on hiatus, at least, for the moment.
As for the future, CD Projekt RED continued to say that they are focused on delivering more Witcher and Cyberpunk games.
