Crown Wars The Black Prince is a strategy video game that combines turn-based combat with role-playing and adventure elements. It takes place in a medieval dark fantasy world during a fictional Hundred Years’ War.

You will play as a lord who must rebuild your domain, recruit and train troops, and engage in battles against rival factions and a mysterious cult known as the Order. While the Order is the most ominous presence in the game, the factions also pose a big threat to your domain. Learning them ahead will help you strategize your gameplay better.

There are officially 5 factions in Crown Wars: The Black Prince that are in battle for the throne of the Kingdom of France. Each will have their own strength, skills, and unique warfare so getting to know them a bit will play a big advantage on how to approach the game when you jump in.

• French – as King Jean II is held captive, his son Charles serves as Regent with an army which also includes French partisans
• English – King Edward is sovereign and vies for the French throne as well; his son Edward of Woodstock, also known as Black Prince, leads his army and are masters of range combat
• Bretons – Split into two sides supported by either the French or English; heavily armed army
• Navarrese – Led by King Charles, this faction relies heavily on poison
• Castillians – equipped with the first version of firearms thanks to their advanced engineering; expert in medium-range combat
