Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater countdown goes live on the official website. And the source code looks like it’s revealing which game is releasing

For over a year, rumors have been swirling about the next Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater project. It all started when Tony Hawk himself mentioned that Activision was working on something that fans would be excited about. While he didn’t specify whether it would be a brand-new game or a remaster, speculation immediately ran wild.
Since then, new details have gradually surfaced, and all signs seem to point toward a remaster of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4.
More Evidence of a Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater Remaster Surfaces
Just a few days ago, reports started emerging that a remaster and not a brand-new game was in the works. The strongest indication of this came when pro skater Tyshawn Jones confirmed during an appearance on The Breakfast Club podcast that he is involved in an upcoming Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater remaster.
While there are other classic THPS titles that could receive a remaster, many fans are convinced (and hopeful) that this is Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, especially since Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 already got its own remake. Given the massive success of 1+2, it makes sense that Activision would follow up with the next logical step in the franchise.
Further fueling speculation, eagle-eyed fans noticed a curious date reference in Call of Duty Black Ops 6. The game’s Grind MP map includes a cryptic 03.04.2025 marking in a room full of skateboarding gears. This excited confused fans but this clue gained credibility when the official Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater website was updated with a countdown leading to March 4, 2025.

Announcement on March 4. pic.twitter.com/8efl6Qansl
The 03.04.2025 date might be more than just a simple countdown, it could be a direct hint at the game itself. The numbers “3” and “4” could signify that the launch title will indeed be Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 Remaster.
This theory gained traction after gaming reporter Christopher J. Teuton uncovered a source code reference on the official site that further supports this idea. This, he posted on Bluesky. Of course the 3 4 on the source code could just mean the reveal date but it does feel like part of an overall marketing campaign.
As of now, we’ll have to wait until March 4, 2025, to find out the full details. With no official press release from Activision nor Tony Hawk, it’s still unclear whether this date marks the game’s official announcement/reveal or an actual shadow drop release.
Either way, the hype for the return of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 has never been stronger, and fans are ready to drop back into one of gaming’s most beloved skateboarding franchises.
