VIP Access! Civilization 7 Early Preview 5 Days Before Launch

Civilization VII (Civ 7) is the seventh main entry in Sid Meier’s turn-based 4X strategy series. The historic series began in 1991 with the first chapter and has captivated generations of players over the years.

With the acclaimed Civilization VI released in 2016, which continues to receive updates and additions today. Having sold over 11 million copies worldwide, the ambitious seventh installment is one many can’t wait to try.


Civilization VII: Release Date

The Firaxis Games team is finally ready for the launch of Civilization VII. The global release will take place on several platforms on February 11, 2025. It will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC, as well as compatibility on macOS and Linux operating systems.

But you can already play starting February 6, enjoying the new 4X game over the weekend. That’s a full 5 days ahead of the official release. Plus, linking a 2K Account will allow you to add Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte to the list of Leaders at launch.



Civilization VII: How to Play Early and the Times

To play Civilization VII early, you must have pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition or the Founders Edition of the game. These two higher-tier editions of Civ 7 add extra content as well as Advanced Access.

Advanced Access will allow you to play early at the following times:

  • PC: February 5 at 9:00 PM PST / 12:00 AM EST. February 6 at 6:00 AM CET
  • Console: February 5 at 9:00 PM PST / 12:00 AM EST. February 6 at 12:00 AM CET

Console versions already have the option to download the game early, around 16GB in size. It also includes a few GB of the patch 1.0.1 . Which iron out issues and an improved UI visibility.



Civilization 7: Game Edition Content

As mentioned, advanced access will only be available with the Deluxe and Founders Editions of Civ 7. These editions include the following bonuses:

Deluxe

  • Base Game
  • Pre-Order Bonus: Adds leader Tecumseh and the Shawnee civilization
  • Advanced Access: Play 5 days before launch
  • Deluxe Pack: 4 Persona Leaders, 8 Profile Customizations, and 1 Scout Skin Variant
  • Crossroads of the World Collection: Post-launch DLC with 2 new leaders, 4 new civilizations, 4 new Natural Wonders, and more

Founders Edition

  • All Deluxe content
  • Founders Pack: 1 Tile Set for the Fog of War and 1 Skin for your Palace in addition to Deluxe Pack content
  • Right to Rule Collection: Additional post-launch DLC with 2 new leaders, 4 new civilizations, 4 new Natural Wonders, and more
  • Available until February 28, 2025.
