About this game

Watch Dogs Legion is an action–adventure video game that is the third installment in the Watch Dogs series.

• Set in a fictionalized London which had become a surveillance state. All of its citizens are being monitored by the private security agency called Albion who also acts as the city’s law enforcement.
• Characters can be recruited depending on the mission as well as their thoughts about DedSec. When a character is recruited he or she will be assigned a class which could either be under combat, stealth or hacking.
• Each class will have its own ability upgrades and tools and level-ups. Also, every character will also have their own personal lives when not on missions.
• Recruit as many characters but note that some of them can be permanently lost during game as they could possibly die or get injured.
• Players are able to play alone or team up in the cooperative gameplay with up to four players.

Reviews

In these emergent moments, Watch Dogs Legion elevates itself as a far smarter experience than the gimmicky political thriller we expected from its early reveal. While the narrative elements are enjoyable on their own – and there are some real impressive scenes – Legion is most rewarding as a sandbox for those looking to veer off course and create their own stories, with their own ludicrous crew.

Watch Dogs: Legion is far from perfect. It tries to tell a story about resisting oppression via the power of the people, but the concept of making any character in the world a viable choice means that the experience ends up being too broad and vague. I was able to spice things up by bringing my own roleplay to characters and used items that weren’t necessary, but this was my way of compensating for the ways in which Watch Dogs: Legion falls short of what I want from a triple-A adventure.

Watch Dogs: Legion takes the franchise in an interesting new direction with the ability to recruit and play as (almost) anyone. However, most of the recruitable characters feel fairly vanilla and the voice acting is often sketchy, at best. I do wish there was something in place to make playable characters stand out a bit more, as seeing them die or get kidnapped felt largely inconsequential.
