About The Invincible

The Invincible is a story-driven sci-fi-themed adventure game based on the book by Stanisław Lem developed by Starward Industries, step into the shoes of Yasna a highly qualified, sharp-witted astrobiologist entangled in the space race. You and your crew end up on an unexplored planet of Regis III. But the scientific expedition quickly turned into a search mission for lost crewmates. Follow the trail of the crew but be aware that every decision you make can bring you closer to extreme danger.

• Discover mind-boggling scientific phenomena, set within eerie landscapes. Give reports of what’s lost to your Astrogator, let his voice aid you in hard times. But you will instead find humanity’s biggest threat, the brutal simplicity and brilliance of evolution.
• Immerse yourself in the Atompunk atmosphere, use tools of the era such as a telemeter, or a tracker, and drive a vehicle through the stunning landscape. Whether it’s robots or people, it’s up to you how to interact with them as a friend, companion, or enemy.
• The entire game is heavily inspired by the motifs of the original book written by Stanisław Lem an iconic work of hard science fiction in which you experience places not prepared for us and for which we are not prepared still.

The Invincible is a beautiful visual representation of the novel of the same name written by Stanislaw Lem decades ago. You are immersed in the world through game mechanics and design, allowing you to interact uniquely. Unfortunately, the game still suffers from performance and technical issues that should have already been addressed since the game launched.

Gamingtrend

The Invincible is a slow paced first person walking simulator but with a heavy emphasis on its storytelling. It may not have the excitement you’d expect, though I can’t delve into much more of the story for fear of spoilers. Having never read the novel I wasn’t sure what to expect, and the fact that the game is a prequel to the novel is exciting, and now I have plans to read the source material. If you enjoy a slow burn sci-fi story, The Invincible tells quite an interesting and compelling tale, one footstep at a time.

The Invincible is going to split opinion; not everyone is going to love this game, although many others will. It’s a story-driven adventure where narrative is the driving force so should you be looking for a thoughtful adventure in a brave new world and don’t mind the slow pace brought on by the game mechanics, then The Invincible will deliver you to the stars.
