The people of the planet Dahna have always held reverence to the planet Rena and to its peoples, the land of the righteous and divine they called it; Folklore handed down for generations a statement people in time people accepted as truth. But it was all a clever façade for the people Rena for 300 years has been pillaging the planet of its natural resources and stripping the populace of their dignity and freedom.

• Tales of Arise is the 17th game of the tale’s franchise a completely new story from the other games, in it, you will journey with Alphen a native of the planet Danha who wants nothing more than to gain his own freedom, and Shionne a noble from the planet Rena who wants to protect his own people.

Tales of Arise is a games I would recommend for anyone looking for “the future” of the JRPG genre. This game could easily be Bandai Namco’s Final Fantasy 7. It feels tailor-made for the era and pushes the barriers for RPGs thanks to complex combat, weighty storytelling, and gorgeous visuals.

Tales of Arise is a revitalizing step in the right direction for the Tales of series, offering new players a chance to play Tales at its very best, and old fans an incredible journey that feels familiar. It’s hard not to love what Tales of Arise has to offer and while there are some small issues, it doesn’t take away from my opinion that this is the Tales game that will breathe new life into the series.
