For basketball fans, this is the annual event. No, it doesn't revolutionise anything, there's no Switch 2 update, we'll have to wait for 2K26. But the port is other than respectable after updates, with dynamic gameplay, fluid shots, nervous dribbling, lots of simple game modes, scripted, solo or online (or local multiplayer). The atmosphere is faithful to what we know from the NBA, and of course, there's the pleasure of controlling your own player or favourite team!
NBA 2K25 came with many enhancements that can't go unnoticed. More realistic animations, gameplay tweaks, as well as improved MyCareer mode are worthy of attention. The learning curve might appear significant though, and microtransactions ruin the fun, almost pressuring players to pay more.
