    About this game

    To advance in a harsh nonlinear 2D universe, you must push the boundaries of your combat skills and learn new skills. Fight back against the darkness that is out to harm you. In Moonscars, every death is a lesson learned, and as you overcome each obstacle, more information will come to light.

    • Investigate the shadows and mysteries hidden in the moonlight of a nonlinear, impressionistic 2D world that is tainted with desperation and misery.
    • Improve your reflexes and skills in difficult, action-packed combat. Use special weapons that are one-of-a-kind, parry and slash with your blade, and summon potent witchery.
    • Discover a bizarre, dark fantasy story full of surprises and complex worldbuilding. Find your creation’s truth, and you’ll be rewarded.
    • As Grey Irma and her fellow beings of flesh and clay seek out truth and purpose, bear witness to tales and recollections of betrayal, sorrow, and retribution.

    Black Mermaid’s Moonscars is a tough game that has a thick amount of creativity in both story and presence. Not all its pieces work perfectly, but enough work to warrant a hard look at this title.
