Lil Gator Game is a casual and adorable movement-focused adventure game developed by MegaWobble, discover new friends and uncover everything the island has to offer. Climb, swim, and glide your way into the hearts of many different characters you meet during this adventure. There’s a buddy atop every hill and they all seem to need help. Bop cardboard enemies, brave serene hills and forests, and scale sheer rocks that only you can dare.

• Discover brand new areas, friends to make, and joy to be had. Drop in on the theatre kids, swing your stick sword through the forest with the prep schoolers or find the cool kids down by the Creak lands with plenty more areas for you to uncover, there’s no knowing who you might run into.
• The world is a pretty big place, but it’s also full of friends! Invite them to play on the island’s playgrounds. Each new friend you make will add to your adventure but making them isn’t easy you might have to complete a quest or two.
• Find arts and craft supplies all over the island which you can use to make yourself all kinds of goodies and bring the playground to life. Craft new abilities like using your doll teddy to ragdoll Lil gator from the mountaintop to the valley or Skim pebbles into hard-to-reach cardboard enemies.

Unlike some games that try hard to be good-natured and relaxing but actually aren’t, Lil Gator Game is exactly what it looks like on the surface: a sweet, adorable game that never feels like it’s trying too hard to be either of those things, but that’s guaranteed to win you over all the same.

Lil Gator Game is charm incarnate. Deftly, exceptionally charming. With its sincere, sweet little story and perfectly dorky humor, it provides a wonderfully enchanting adventure that kept me grinning and tittering all the way through. More importantly than anything else, Lil Gator Game made me happy. I’m damn happy this adorable goofiness exists, and while I’m sad I ran out of things to do, I’m delighted by everything I did.

Taking many of the best elements from both Animal Crossing and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Lil Gator Game tells a beautiful story and provides countless enjoyable experiences along the way. This is easily the most wholesome game of the year, if not the decade.
