Ninth installment of the long running God of War series, Ragnarok is also the sequel to the soft reboot that was the 2018 God of War. It also continues the shifto from the Greek mythology to the Norse one, albeit as the name implies it also mark the end of it as well. In this new entry, the overall gameplay of the previous one returns, with a more slower paced combat, some puzzle and mostly geared toward an action adventure entry. As new features, we'll occasionally play as Atreus.
God of War Ragnarok is shaping up to be an absolute game-changer that has me brimming with excitement. Building upon the incredible foundation set by its predecessor, this sequel promises to deliver another epic and emotionally charged journey. The Norse mythology setting is beautifully realized, with breathtaking visuals and a captivating world to explore. The combat mechanics, which were already stellar in the previous game, look even more refined and intense, promising epic battles against powerful foes. The story, as teased so far, hints at a grand-scale conflict that will push Kratos and Atreus to their limits, further delving into their complex relationship. The attention to detail and narrative depth that Santa Monica Studio brings to the table is unparalleled, and I have no doubt that this installment will leave a lasting impact.
