About this game

Gears of War 4 takes place many years after the events of gears of war 3, the war with the locusts is over humanity was nearly wiped out, but for a while there was peace. A new threat seems to be looming over the horizon, play as JD Fenix with his friends, Kait, and Del as they rescue their loved ones from a new monstrous enemy.

• Play the 9-hour campaign alone or with a friend in split-screen co-op or online multiplayer.
• Competitive multiplayer: classic gears of war vs modes like team deathmatch, king of the hill, warzone, etc. All of these modes run in flawless 60fps through dedicated servers.
• Horde mode: survive 50 waves of enemies in the new 3.0 iteration of horde mode. play with 4 other friends and get ready to deploy the fabricator anywhere on the battlefield, with it you can construct defenses like barricades and turrets.
• Class system: before you get in a match for horde mode you need to pick a class to specialize in engineer, heavy, scout, sniper, and soldier each having a unique role in overcoming the relentless horde of enemies.

As a complete package, Gears of War 4 is everything I could have asked for and more. Yes, I’ve got a few slight gripes with the lackluster final fight in the closing moments of the campaign and Horde 3.0’s class system, but as a whole, this is one game that every Gears fan needs to own.

Gears of War 4 doesn’t reinvent the formula but it definitely brings enough improvements without changing the core feel of Gears. With stellar production values, incredible action, series’ best multiplayer, engaging new characters, and an introductory story that should satisfy new players and returning fans alike, Gears of War 4 may just be your new favorite Gears game. It’s certainly mine.
