About this game

Forgive me father is a retro horror FPS game inspired by the stories of H.P. Lovecraft and developed by Byte Barrel, in this world you are the only person left who still has his senses (most of them), embark on a long journey to find answers and a sense of relief in this maddening world. You must become aware of your madness level which can dynamically change the level physically and the gameplay itself which has its benefits and drawbacks. Choose the skills you are comfortable with and use them to fight against this indescribable evil.

• Using time-lapse animation, 2D opponents and the environment looks like they belong in a 3D environment emulating the look of classic FPS games from the 90s, but instead of polygons, its hand-drawn graphics are designed to maintain a distinctive comic book look.
• Throughout the game, you will feel the atmosphere and dread that the works of H.P. Lovecraft are renowned for. You are surrounded by the occult full of engaging enemies ranging from possessed inhabitants to monsters straight out of your nightmares.
• Use any type of weapon you can get your hands on to survive with holy scripture in one hand and a gun powered by an unknown substance in the other, the player will face the challenge of maintaining their humanity and how their equipment evolves over time.
• At the start, you have two heroes to choose from you either experience everything through the eyes of either a priest or a journalist each has its own unique development tree.
