    You found and took over an budding team, bringing it to the top of world football. You make fascinating choices along the way, “battle” in tactical bouts, and RPG-style level up your players.

     
    • Handling footballers like chess pieces on a board gives you a physically challenging experience. Football players are all different, though. When the time comes, you will be able to identify each of them by their faces and will feel a certain way about them.
    • It’s not about micromanagement in this game; it’s about strategic planning. You make “major” decisions that significantly effect the future of your club rather than spending time improving one aspect of it by a tiny fraction. This gets rid of all the tedious tables, routines, and micromanagement in football manager games.
    • Instead of taking days as in other football management games, you can complete a football season in just a few genuine hours. Each season is packed with interesting choices and interesting happenings.
    • Since you have direct control over the footballers, you are always aware of the reasons why a game went one way rather than another. You are aware of how footballers utilize their advantages and disadvantages. Since it is never clear in other games how your strategies and the strengths of your players affected (or did not affect) the outcomes.

    FTG may be a bit rough to get into at first, but with a little dedication and the right type of niche desires this may be a little slice of heaven for you. If you aren’t interested in the subject matter I’d suggest finding another tactical strategy game to enjoy.
