Encased, is a post-apocalyptic sci-fi turn-based CRPG developed by Dark Crystal Games it’s inspired by classics of the genre like Fallout 1 and 2. Set in an alternate 1970s where humanity has advanced technologically thanks to a powerful artifact they discovered in the middle of the desert. You work for Cronus, a company that has set up shop on top of the dome researching and developing various technologies from it. While all players start the game are low-level company employees, once the maelstrom hits it’s everyone’s fair game.
Dark Crystal Games’ passion for this type of game shines through in every facet. They have made every attempt to make the game as accessible to a wide range of players as possible. The game feels tight in terms of performance and I encountered no bugs. How much one will enjoy the game really depends on how much one will put into it.
A Sci-Fi Post-Apocalyptic RPG is finally emerging from its nearly two-year Early Access period and is all the better for its time spent in player-engaged development. Fans of Fallout 1 and 2 and Shadowrun are going to immediately fall in love with what Encased.

I picked this up during a sale when I read "turn based rpg"; I absolutely love the Divinity games and was not at all disappointed. The polish isn't there compared to Divinity and a few "nice to have features" (button to highlight all interacables in an area) but the story really draws you in. The story and/or setting remidns me a lot of fallout and bioshock.
