About this game

You are an Arisen, a human whose heart has been taken by the Dragon and is now eternally intertwined to the winged beast’s fate.

• Create your character with a wide array of character customization options and switch between 9 available classes, each one granting unique skills, passive abilities and spells.
• Form a party of 4 with the Pawn system. Create your main pawn and hire two more that you can replace in towns as you go stronger. Your Pawns become powerful allies that attack and use skills to help you defeat enemies.
• Explore a vast open world set in the dark fantasy kingdom of Gransys and follow an apocalyptic epic where the arrival of the Dragon marks the end of the world.
• Enjoy even more content with the inclusion of the Dark Arisen expansion which brings a new end-game dungeon called Bitterblack Isle where players will find new powerful gear and deadlier bosses to defeat.

Still, the original owners clearly weren’t the primary target of Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, hence it being released as a stand-alone title. The real target, for better or for worse, are brand new players who haven’t been introduced to Capcom’s newest fantasy property. To those of you who love third-person action and open-world exploration and who haven’t yet gone on a dragon-slaying quest, the answer is easy: this is a great buy that chances are you will not regret. Be sure to at least check out the online demo if you haven’t yet, and if you like it, pick this one up as soon as you can.

Remember when I said I’d have a hard time finding someone who wouldn’t get an easy recommendation on this one? I meant it. The original game was good, but not great. Dark Arisen adds content, fixes existing problems, and offers a massive world to play in for a bargain basement price. Dark Arisen is a winner. Now if only my pawns would shut the hell up for a minute.
