I liked to tell myself that I didn’t believe in perfect 10/10 games. To me a perfect game is something everyone, unanimously, can say has no issues. No shortcomings. However, Destiny 2: The Final Shape is perfect. Everything that Bungie has done these past nine years has come together in a video game version of Avengers: Endgame. The stakes, the action, the quality of storytelling, and of course the emotion has all merged into the best expansion, no, game I have ever played. If you have ever in the last decade been interested in or cared about Destiny, The Final Shape is a must play. Period.
Destiny 2: The Final Shape is a poignant tribute to the franchise’s journey since its debut in 2014. It breathes new life into the existing classes with the versatile Prismatic subclass, introduces fresh enemies and locations, and weaves a narrative that’ll likely tug at the heartstrings of even the most casual players. Despite its name, Destiny 2: The Final Shape is not going to be the last DLC to the popular MMORPG. Featuring a new story mode as well as some other additional content, this expansion will mark an end to a seasonal model. All future updates will come out in episodic form, and Bungie has already announced that the story is not over yet. While quite expensive, this additional content will surely please the long-term fans of this highly-acclaimed FPS.
The Final Shape is the upcoming expansion for Destiny 2 and the final chapter in the story that's been told all the way back to the initial release date of the base game. The Final Shape is divided in 3 different episodes, set to be unlocked in order throughout the following months after release. There will be a new world to explore, a new subclass, new weapons and enemies. Standard version includes the first episode but if you want to get all 3 from the get-go, Annual Pass is the way.
Destiny 2's last major expansion, Last Shape offers, as usual, a new map to explore, a new scenario to fight over, new weapons and equipment, and above all a new system for the Prismatic subclass. We'll be able to borrow traits from other existing subclasses, and combine filled light & dark gauges to enter a “transcendence” phase and temporarily increase our firepower. An original concept that will delight build optimizers in particular.
