Coral Island is a farming and life sim where you can explore a colorful and vibrant island at your own pace. The game offers many features from building your own farm to establishing relationships with the islanders and even exploring the island to mine or search for resources. Coral Island has character customization, town management and many side-activities to partake in like hunting or fishing.
Just recently released on November 14, Coral Island is the first known title of the small indie studio at Starway Games and published by Humble Games (owned by IGN). This indie title is another title of the farming sim genre that has seen quite the interest and releases in the last few years.
The title doesn’t shy away from the influence of Terraria and the Harvest Moon games, but offers lots of interactions with over 70 characters (of 25 dateable) and lots of side activities to do.
A game that borrows a little from My Time at Portia and Stardew Valley, this farming simulator is packed with features. Animals will also be your best friends, and the farmer in you will want to make the most of nature and its resources (mining or otherwise), but there’s also an important social dimension with plenty of friendly encounters, but also love. So you can develop your social, emotional and professional skills!
I don’t know how I missed the release of Coral Island in early access, but it looks like tons of fun! With adorable graphics and addictive gameplay, this life sim offers plenty of things to do. It has all chances to outshine other popular games in the same category. The only downside is that the progress will be reset on the day of release. So if you’re looking into it, you should wait for a few days.
