Bungie, the developer behind the Halo franchise and Destiny 2, has announced Marathon, a reboot of the 1994 sci-fi first-person shooter.
Marathon’s official website describes the game as a sci-fi PvP extraction shooter in which players compete for riches and survival in persistent zones.
The game will focus on the PvP experience, and although Bungie fell short of confirming whether it will be a live service game, Bungie’s website does state its studio is looking to hire for a “large-scale high-visibility live game.”
Marathon has no official release date yet, but it will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
