Xbox Game Pass Standard is missing out on day-one launches but days like today proves that this tier is worth your time too!
Xbox Game Pass Standard may have lost quite a number of Console tier members but days like today are proving that it isn’t that much of a downgrade. Yes, day-one launches are no longer a perk but there’s the online multiplayer feature which lets members enjoy online play without having to buy Game Pass Core. But what probably did it for members was the relatively smaller catalog.
When it launched in September last year, it “only” had 369 games, compared to the over 500 for Ultimate. And without the day-one launches, that gap continued to widen. Microsoft has seen the disparity and has now taken an effort to give Standard tier some love. Since going live, the number of games added to its catalog is increasing every month. In fact, 12 titles for January.
New Games On Xbox Game Pass Standard
Xbox Game Pass Standard welcomed 4 games earlier this month and now with the reveal of the wave 2 list, another eight is set to do so. And today, January 22, seven of those will.
- Flock
- Gigantic: Rampage Edition
- Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess
- Magical Delicacy
- Tchia
- The Case of the Golden Idol
- Starbound
The Coming Soon update also shows Shady Part of Me which will join the service (including the Standard tier) on January 29, and Far Cry New Dawn which is part of the February lineup.
