Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land is the newest entry in the Atelier series. A classic franchise by Gust that began in 1997. With Yumia, it introducing a brand new storyline after the ending of the popular Ryza trilogy.
The Atelier series has always offered engaging RPG experiences revolving around Alchemy. Gathering ingredients, crafting potions, and exploring its vibrant worlds alongside colorful characters. The first entry in the Atelier Yumia series, titled “Memories,” launches on 21 March 2025.

During a special broadcast, Koei Tecmo revealed the new trailer for Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land on 18 November 2024. It provides an exciting look at this fresh Atelier adventure.
Following the young Yumia Liessfeldt as she searches for her origins and explores why Alchemy has become a taboo and is now deemed dangerous. Alongside a diverse cast, the story promises to delve into more mature themes and significant changes from previous entries in the series, as seen in the new trailer.
Atelier Yumia: Koei Tecmo Shows Off 30 Minutes of Exclusive Gameplay
On 16 November 2024 during a special broadcast in Japan, Koei Tecmo showcased more of Atelier Yumia. Special guests included Wakana Kuramochi (voice of Yumia Liessfeldt) and Yoshino Aoyama (voice of Lenja, The Wellek).
The event also featured an extended gameplay showcase. Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land introduces profound changes to the classic Atelier formula. With a focus on open-world exploration while retaining the beloved Synthesis mechanic and heartfelt storytelling.
Atelier Yumia: Key Innovations in the New Atelier Series
The gameplay showcase revealed several exciting new features in the “Memories” series of Atelier Yumia. Key highlights include:
Open World
For the first time, the Atelier series embraces an open world. Explore what remains of the Aladissian Empire three years after catastrophic events caused by Alchemy, introducing major shifts to the series’ formula.
Exploration
Exploration takes center stage with the open-world setting. Yumia can ride a motorbike across vast regions, leap to new heights, and itseem even glide. Additionally, players can set up camps to rest, cook, and gain special bonuses or events.
Gameplay
Atelier Yumia introduces real-time combat, balancing ranged and melee attacks. Players can unleash combo moves and special attacks, while crafting synthetic weapons for reuse in battle.
Synthesis
The iconic Synthesis mechanic is refreshed with the ability to manipulate mana and choose ingredients based on their quality. Players can also use Simple Synthesis while exploring to craft potions, ammo, and other useful items.
Building
A brand-new feature in Atelier Yumia lets players build and customize their base. Unlock new items and decorations to reflect your creativity while boosting your “comfort level,” which provides bonuses during your journey.
