Astro Bot is the big hit from Asobi Games, the platformer and PlayStation mascot. The game was released on 6th September 2024 and was crowned Game of The Year at TGA 2025, winning the hearts of critics and players alike.
A carefree platformer designed for everyone, with fun at its core. A success that solidified Astro the robot as a true mascot for PlayStation, and also a wake-up call for the rest of the video game industry. Many are eager for more titles and content in the future.
Astro Bot: Official Announcement of New Content
After a fantastic year for Asobi Games and Astro Bot, the team is back with their first post of 2025. On February 13th, they announced the arrival of 5 new game maps. Specifically, the team talks about the previously unreleased level shown on January 18th at the PlayStation XP tournament in London.
This level will be added along with 4 other levels, each featuring a new Special Bot to save. Additionally, completing the level will unlock these 5 levels in Time Attack mode, allowing you to challenge the community and climb the leaderboards. But as the team reminds us, it won’t be an easy walk, unlike Winter Wonder.

Astro Bot: Weekly Time Attack Mode Challenges and Updates
Specifically, the 5 additional levels of Astro Bot will be available on a weekly basis. Starting from February 13th, we will have about 1 month of challenges from February 13th to March 13th. Each new level will be available on Thursdays at 6:00 am PT / 2:00 pm GMT / 10:00 pm JST:
- 13th February: Tick-Tock Shock
- 20th February: Thrust or Bust
- 27th February: Cock-A-Doodle-Doom
- 6th March: Hard to Bear
- 13th March: Armored Hardcore
But that’s not all. PS5 Pro owners can finally enjoy the new Pro update, promising smoother 60fps gameplay at higher native resolutions thanks to the enhanced power and versatility of the PSSR.
