Story of Assassin’s Creed Mirage

 

In Assassin’s Creed Mirage, you embody Basim, a young boy who grew up on the streets of Baghdad. He has always admired those who operate from the shadows and has wanted to join them since his childhood.

   

Basim meets Roshan, a Master Assassin from the Fortress of the Hidden, who takes Basim under her wing and teaches him the art of the Assassins. Assassin’s Creed Mirage is set between the years 860 and 870.

At the time of Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the land is in turmoil and uprisings due to the leadership of the Caliphate. Ali, a young and intelligent leader who collaborates with the Assassins, is the leader of the rebels you support to overthrow the Caliphate.

 
 

Release of Assassin’s Creed Mirage

 

Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be released on 12th October 2023 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. For PC, Assassin’s Creed Mirage will initially be available only on Ubisoft, with no Steam release planned at the beginning.

 
 

How big will Assassin’s Creed Mirage be?

 

Assassin’s Creed Mirage aims to return to the earlier principles of Assassin’s Creed games. This means that the world will be much smaller and more compact. There will be no other city to explore besides Baghdad in Assassin’s Creed Mirage.

However, Baghdad will be even more detailed and vibrant than the cities in the previous Assassin’s Creed titles. Despite having only one city, the open-world aspect will still be retained. However, the entire story will be much more linear compared to the recent Assassin’s Creed games.

   
 

Gameplay of Assassin’s Creed Mirage

 

As mentioned earlier, Assassin’s Creed Mirage intends to return to the core principles of Assassin’s Creed, with a renewed focus on stealth and parkour elements.

The main story also takes centre stage, as there will be significantly fewer side quests and collectibles, emphasising a more elaborate main storyline.

However, some elements from the current Assassin’s Creed games, such as equipment upgrades and a skill tree, will still be part of Assassin’s Creed Mirage.

The city of Baghdad is divided into four districts, each with distinctive visual features and inhabitants. Within these districts, various world events await you, making the world of Assassin’s Creed Mirage even more alive.

There is also a wanted level system with three tiers. The higher your wanted level, the more the city guards will search for you.

Although there is primarily the main story, you need not worry about it becoming monotonous. A variety of activities, such as bounty missions or training sessions, will offer plenty of diversity.

Unlike many previous Assassin’s Creed titles, Assassin’s Creed Mirage does not feature a present-day storyline, focusing entirely on Basim’s narrative.

Several aspects commonly found in recent Assassin’s Creed games, such as items with rarity levels or multiple dialogue options, are absent in Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Nonetheless, these omissions do not prevent Assassin’s Creed Mirage from being an excellent game.
