Phantasy Star Online 2’s Closed Xbox One Beta Now Accepting Sign-Ups

Microsoft hinted back at E3 2019 that Phantasy Star Online 2 is heading West and will be available for the Xbox One, and now the company has announced that they are already accepting sign-ups for the game’s closed beta. The beta will be held in early February, and those who wish to participate can sign up on the game’s official site. Phantasy Star Online 2 will also be available for Windows 10, although it will be launched “later in 2020.”


Battlefront 2’s Rise of Skywalker Update Adds New Characters and More

Star Wars Battlefront 2’s The Rise of Skywalker has received a new update that adds new content. The update brings content which were adapted from the movie such as crimson Sith Troopers, First Order Jet Troopers, the Ovissian Gunner, the Caphex Spy, and a jungle planet. This update also adds alternate appearances Rey, Finn, and Kylo Ren also based on the film. The patch notes, available from the game’s Reddit, lists everything and more in detail.


Borderlands 3 Adds Patch with Quality of Life Upgrades

Gearbox has released a new update for Borderlands 3 which includes fixes for some issues that have not yet been addressed since it launched. The update includes fixes on stability, the game’s user interface, missions, and gameplay. The little annoying bugs like incorrect vending machine thumbnails were one of those fixed through this update. No Man’s Sky Adds Music and Audio Creation Tool

Hello Games has added a new tool in No Man’s Sky. The new audio and music creation tool, called the ByteBeat Device, is a machine that plays procedurally generated tunes or noises that players have sequenced in. Players can build the machine by acquiring its blueprint from the Space Anomaly. Basic controls allow players to arrange tracks, modify drums and melody, or adjust key, octave, and tempo. Those well-versed with audio creation can tinker with its complex controls, including raw sound manipulation, and more.


The Outer Worlds Getting Its Story DLC in 2020

Obsidian has revealed that The Outer Worlds will be getting its story DLC next year. The news came from Obsidian’s social media manager Shyla Schofield who posted on the Obsidian forums, “…we are excited to announce that we will be expanding the story through DLC next year!” She added, though that details are not yet available at this time, and will be “made available at a later date.” The Outer Worlds has received four nominations in the recently concluded The Game Awards.


World War Z’s Horde Mode Z Coming This Week

World War Z is bringing in more zombies with Horde Mode Z, a free update launching December 17th. The mode will feature new weapons as well as environmental tools and traps, according to the game’s creative director Oliver Hollis-Leick. Each one of the mentioned items and tools will be essential for players as they try to prep for the horde. The mode offers an extended prep time for players between waves as they will be attacked by a huge number of zombies than usual. Horde Mode Z also introduces a new map and a new zombie type.


Farming Simulator 19 Seasons Mod Added for PS4

Giants Software announced through the PlayStation Blog that they have worked with Realismus Modding in order to bring the Seasons mod to Farming Simulator 19 on PlayStation 4. According to Giants, the mod overhauls “several core systems” as it focuses on realism, making four different seasons come alive visually and in gameplay. The mod features visuals and audio reflecting the season, enhanced weather system, improved growth system, a rebalanced economy, new animal system, detailed weather forecast, and a crop rotation planner.


CS:GO Champions Cup Finals Kicks Off This Week

Eden Esports’ Champions Cup Finals is taking place this week in Malta, featuring eight CS:GO teams and a 300,000 US Dollar prize pool. The tournament kicks off December 19th with its Group Stages, and the Playoffs are scheduled on December 21st. 150,000 US Dollars will be taken home by the winning team. Baby Yoda Added to The Sims 4

Fans of The Mandalorian will be thrilled to know that Baby Yoda has been added to The Sims 4. This was confirmed by the official Sims Twitter handle, which retweeted a TikTok video of a “giant” Baby Yoda to the tune of Adele’s live version of “Someone Like You.” The video then panned to other mini Baby Yodas. Baby Yoda is actually a decoration labeled as “The Child Statue” which players can place on their gardens; some players even went the extra mile and created shrines.


Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Back on Top of Sales Charts

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is back at the top of the UK Sales Charts. The spot was previously held by FIFA 20, which now sits at number three. The game’s rise to the top can be attributed to the various Holiday sales happening left and right. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order followed on 2nd place, while Mario Kart 8 Deluxe sits at number four. Two more Nintendo games, Luigi’s Mansion 3 and Pokémon Sword, followed at number five and six respectively. Just Dance 2020, Mario & Sonic at the Tokyo Olympic Games, Tekken 7, and Project Cars 2 complete the list.


GRID Autosport Update Adds Multiplayer on Switch

GRID Autosport has received an update on the Nintendo Switch, adding local and split-screen multiplayer. Local wireless multiplayer supports up to eight players. The update will download automatically for the Nintendo Switch if the players’ Auto-Update Software is ON, and the device is connected to the internet. An update for Labo and wheel support, and online multiplayer will be added next year.


Ghost Recon: Breakpoint Patch Delayed

The next big patch of Ghost Recon: Breakpoint won’t be coming at the specified date. Update 1.1.0 was originally set to launch today but was later pushed for a 2020 date by “the latter half of January”. This shift in date is to ensure that the quality of the patch is up to par as it will introduce some new content as well as bug fixes. Along with the things that were delayed were the Terminator Live Event, the tweaks to base-jumping, and the addition of night vision goggles.


Upcoming Gladiator Game Gladiux Announced

Starcaster Games has released a teaser trailer for their upcoming game called Gladiux. Players will play the role of a Gladiator who will train as well as battle other gladiators to win their freedom. The game is historically accurate in many aspects, an example is the clothing styles. Right now we have no idea how the gameplay mechanics will work in the game, we will know more when the launch date nears for it which will be sometime in 2020.


Agony’s Spin-off Succubus in Alpha Testing Phase

Madmind Studio, the studio behind 2018’s Agony has released a teaser trailer for Agony’s spin-off which is Succubus. The game right now is in its alpha testing phase. In the trailer, we get to see a demon named Onoskelis who was also present in Agony. This time in Succubus, he has a redesigned look as well as new combat abilities. As you may have noticed, the game seems pretty gory, an optional feature is available for a censorship mode if you would need it. No official launch date has been given as of yet.


Final Fantasy 14 will See the Return of the Ruby Weapon

Final Fantasy 14 is increasingly getting popular with about 18 million registered players. With that, Square Enix announced that the forthcoming patch 5.2. The patch comes with a lot of things but the most notable is Ruby Weapon’s return. There are two types for the Ruby Weapon which are the normal and extreme trials. As of right now, there is no timeframe as to when the Final Fantasy 14 patch 5.2 will launch, we are assuming that it will be in the next couple of months.


Samurai Shodown New Character Wan-Fu to Launch for Early Adopters

Samurai Shodown is getting its last free DLC character for its first Season Pass and it is the character Wan-Fu and is free for early adopters. He is quite a slow fighter but is also bulky, so he does pack a powerful punch. The first season pass is made up of Rimiruru, Basara, Kazuki, Kazama and Wan-Fu. This, however, won’t be the end of support for the game as Samurai Shodown will also be launching for the PC and the Nintendo Switch in 2020.


Apex Legends Holo-Day Bash Live

Respawn Entertainment’s Geoff Keighley has announced the Holo-Day Bash for their Battle Royale game Apex Legends during The Game Awards dressed up as a nutcracker. This event is currently live and it features a Christmas-themed ship, “the Mirage Voyage” located near Lava City in the Worlds Edge. The ship comes with numerous holograms as well as loot. This Holo-Day Bash will be available up until January 7th only for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Day one of ONE Esports World Pro Invitational Singapore has concluded and we have the results for you. In Group A, the first place goes to Alliance following in second is Team Secret. The third and fourth place belongs to TNC Predator and Virtus.pro respectively. J.Storm is in fifth and Team Aster in sixth place. The eight best Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams are in Moscow Russia right now for the Epicenter 2019 champions vying for the $500,000 USD prize money. Yesterday was the bout of group A with Team Vitality beating Ehome with a 2-0 win. Natus Vincere won over Heroic also with a 2-0 win. Team Vitality then faced off with Natus Vincere which resulted in a close match but Team Vitality emerged victorious having a 2-1 win. One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 Confirms Two New Characters Kaido and Big Mom

Koei Tecmo Games has revealed two other characters that will be available in One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 and they are Kaido as well as Charlotte Linlin who is also known as Big Mom. The two were introduced via character reveal trailer. Embark in a new pirate warriors adventure with One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 which is set to launch on March 27, 2020, and is available to play on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch.
