Assassin’s Creed Origins Open World Will Be Enormous, Ubisoft Says
You’ll get to explore all you want in the Assassin’s Creed Origins open world, as Ubisoft promises that its world will be enormous! How big the game’s world is will surely affect how quests are done. Ubisoft sat down in an interview with IGN to give us an idea how this will work.

In earlier Assassin’s Creed games, you are given a main mission which you need to follow and complete by the book. That won’t be the case anymore in Assassin’s Creed Origins.
“In Assassin’s Creed Origins, the developers have moved away from the strict missions into a quest-based system. You can start or stop any main or side quest at any time,” according to IGN. This means you can go on a side quest and then continue your main mission from where you left it.
In terms of exploration, Assassin’s Creed Origins won’t be having a minimap, instead, players will have to rely on a compass and question marks.
“We needed to revisit the pillars of how we let players enjoy this big world,” says producer Julien Laferriere. “We really wanted to play on the natural elements of the map. One of the first decisions we made was to get rid of the minimap. We have a compass now. The goal is really to immerse the player in the world – that’s why we introduced the question marks.”
You will be able to discover these question marks as you come across different points of interest while walking around, or by letting your eagle Senu fly. You would need to go and find out the exact locations of these question marks, though, which means you’ll have to explore the world until you reach it.
“We want players to see those in the world and want to go take a look… The way we shape the world also influences exploration. Verticality is very important. If you can’t see past that dune, or hill, or those trees, you want to get there and see what’s past those points,” says Laferriere.
Another thing that will push you to explore are the different locations of Egypt. The Egypt in Origins is already 3000 years old, which means a lot of the locations were already “forgotten” as described by Laferriere. You’re going to have to explore and discover these locations yourself as you progress in the game.
Assassin’s Creed Origins will be available starting 27 October 2017 on PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.ALSO ON ALLKEYSHOP NEWS
Assassin’s Creed Origins Eagle Senu is More Than Just a Scouting Tool
This Assassin’s Creed Origins eagle is more than just a companion, or a tool for scouting, in fact, it can do more than you can imagine.
Assassin’s Creed is in my top favorite franchises of all time and the trailers got me really excited to play this one.
Hope they manage to do things with it, not just empty filler.
