Indiana Jones: Order of Giants Expansion Promises a Unique Story Experience
Indiana Jones fans are in for an epic adventure when Indiana Jones and the Great Circle releases on December 6 on Xbox Series X|S and PC, and creative director Axel Torvenius promises a “unique experience” with its expansion, The Order of Giants.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is an upcoming first-person action-adventure from MachineGames. Set in 1937, the Great Circle follows Indy as the legendary archaeologist searches for an ancient power to stop it from falling into the hands of sinister forces.
Announced at Gamescom 2024, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: Order of Giants is a post-launch DLC. MachineGames and Bethesda remain quiet on what the Order of Giants DLC is about. However, during the game’s recent gameplay reveal trailer, creative director Axel Torvenius told us it is a “unique experience with a focus on story.”

A New Chapter in the Indiana Jones Legacy
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is an immersive, cinematic, single-player action game set between the events of Raiders of the Last Ark and The Last Crusade. In a global adventure, Indy finds himself entangled in another mystery, where he must use his cunning, resourcefulness, and knowledge to overcome intricate ancient puzzles and avoid deadly traps. Complete with his whip, Indiana can disarm, distract, and attack enemies while using it to swing over gaps and scale walls.
Fans are already eagerly speculating about the mysterious Order of Giants DLC and its ties to ancient mythologies. As the Great Circle features a mix of story-driven and open-world exploration elements, the Order of Giants DLC will likely follow the same design.
We know nothing about the Indiana Jones Order of Giants DLC, but hasn’t stopped fans ideas, with some believing it could focus on Locus, the giant thief from the trailer who steals an artifact from Marshall College. Others point to the Dance of Giants novel, where Indy explores Celtic mythology and King Arthur. Unfortunately, until we know more, all we have is theories.
