‘Synapse’ Leak: Pokémon’s Next Multiplayer Adventure Revealed!
Following reports of a potential new Pokémon game, codenamed “Synapse,” earlier this year, new updates have shed more light on the series’ next multiplayer adventure. Rumors hint at a collaboration between Game Freak and ILCA on an all-new multiplayer game.
Synapse is reportedly the codename for a brand new multiplayer game by Pokémon developer Game Freak and ILCA, the developer of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl. The rumors come after The Pokémon Company suffered a massive data leak earlier this year, which revealed a new game in development.
First rumored to be an MMO, leaks hint at a battle-focused multiplayer inspired by Nintendo’s Splatoon series. Excitement has recently grown after The Pokémon Works opened a new website, confirming a new project.
What is Pokémon Synapse?
Pokémon Synapse was leaked earlier this year following a hack of The Pokémon Company, which many believe to be the most significant Pokémon leak ever. When brought to light, many expected it to be an MMO. However, insiders revealed it to be a battle-focused multiplayer game similar to Nintendo’s fast-paced and action-based Splatoon.
Seemingly confirming the new game, Centro LEAKS tweeted on X that a new website has appeared, revealing “a new project between ILC and Pokémon as previously reported.” Centro LEAKS also says it’s not a remake of a previous game but a “brand new online multiplayer Pokémon game.”
There is no official information about the potential game, but the website’s homepage says the two companies plan to “create an experience that makes Pokémon more real and more familiar.” Although the new website could be related to Synapse, it could also be a different yet unnamed project. Fans will need to be patient to know more.
New Pokémon and Nintendo Switch 2 Leaks
The upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 is expected to be unveiled officially in the coming months. A recent data breach of Game Freak and Nintendo revealed a new 10th gen Pokémon game is in development for the Switch 2, codenamed “Ounce.”
Nintendo could announce the Switch 2 by the end of 2024, with the next Pokémon game revealed a the same time or shortly after. Stay up to date on Allkeyshop with news as it breaks and find out more about the upcoming Switch 2 here.
Conclusion
Pokémon fans are buzzing with excitement after recent leaks of Synapse, a reported new multiplayer battle-focused game. The Switch 2 may get a reveal very soon, with everyone looking at what Nintendo and The Pokémon Company do next.
