Instead, it led her to discover a new ability: the power to move between parallel timelines.

The storyline of Double Exposure explores the concept of “exposure” in two timelines, one where Safi is still alive and another where she has died. As Max, you will gather clues to unravel the murder mystery and stop the killer as he plans to kill again. This detective-focused narrative blends the emotional depth of the previous Life is Strange games with a more mature, noir-inspired mystery.

The Life is Strange Double Exposure trailers have given fans an exciting glimpse into Max’s latest adventure. Over the course of its announcement to its release, Square Enix has published multiple trailers to not just excite gamers but provide how Max’s story didn’t have to end with the last game.

In the announcement trailer, Max is seen at Caledon University, discovering her friend’s body in the snow and using her powers to create a parallel timeline where Safi is still alive. Then additional trailers released throughout June and July introduced key characters like Safi Llewellyn-Fayyad and Moses Murphy, as well as teasing Max’s ability to shift between realities in an attempt to solve the murder. The trailers also show that this new ability may also have a dangerous nature, giving players an intense and unpredictable storyline.
