Following the September 2024 State of Play, Shift Up also had some surprises in store for Stellar Blade. Surprises that not only bring the long-awaited Photo Mode, but even a DLC featuring a collaboration with NieR: Automata, which many fans have been hoping for.

Stellar Blade – Photo Mode finally arriving with some surprises

Among the big announcements at the September 2024 State of Play, the Shift Up team also participated with a short trailer showcasing the upcoming updates for Stellar Blade. Stellar Blade is the action-adventure game from the South Korean studio, launched as a PlayStation 5 exclusive on 26th April 2024. Receiving very positive feedback and selling over 1 million copies within 2 months. A great success that the team is already discussing of a sequel in the near future.

One of the most requested features by players for Stellar Blade has been Photo Mode, a significant omission for many due to the ability to unlock numerous outfits for the heroine, Eve. The team finally has good news, officially announcing its long awaited arrival.

Photo Mode, as we can see from the trailer, is not limited to a few filters and some poses but offers a rich array of options, including numerous options for poses, filters, lighting adjustments, frames, and much more. Additionally, the game’s Soundtrack, with a whopping 180 tracks, is now available on various audio streaming platforms. Concluding the trailer with teaser for a new DLC arriving by the end of 2024.

Stellar Blade x NieR: Automata – Unexpected yet highly anticipated Collab

The Stellar Blade trailer presented at the State of Play surprised many not only with the arrival of Photo Mode, but especially with the announcement of a collab that many had hoped for. The collaboration of Stellar Blade with NieR: Automata. A collaboration that many hoped to see but were surprised to hear, while others thought it was a matter of time.

In fact, this isn’t the first collaboration between Shift Up and Yoko Taro’s creation. As we’ve already seen 2B appear in Goddess of Victory: Nikke, Shift Up’s third-person gacha RPG shooter. But certainly, the thematic similarities between Stellar Blade and NieR: Automata made many hope for a collab.

We still don’t know if the collab will be a simple 2B skin or if we are going to get a dedicated story featuring 2B in the world of Stellar Blade. However, the team plans to launch the DLC, as well as the long-awaited Photo Mode, by the end of 2024. These additions will also be available for the PC version, which the team has confirmed they plan to eventually release.
