BioWare has revealed a name change for the upcoming Dragon Age game. A gameplay trailer expected early next week.
The upcoming Dragon Age game has been rebranded to Dragon Age: The Veilguard. BioWare has chosen to move away from the previous Dragon Age: Dreadwolf title.
The name change has been made to reflect the direction the story takes. After the Dragon Age: Inquisition—Trespasser DLC, BioWare was expected to follow the story of Solas, the Elven god Fen’Harel, known as the Dread Wolf. Although Solas is still part of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, the game will instead focus on the seven unique companions, who will offer players the chance to “connect and form their own personal relationships” with them.
As with any Dragon Age game, The Veilguard offers an action-packed and story-driven narrative. You can get your first glimpse of it on June 11 with a Dragon Age-focused event as part of Summer Game Fest. The event begins at 5pm CEST on YouTube and will show off 15 minutes of gameplay.
