Xbox Game Pass Core Library
Game Pass Core went live in September 2023 when it replaced the long running Xbox Live Gold plan. It’s pretty much the same thing apart from the free game access.
Basically the two free monthly games we get with Gold were changed to a catalog of over 25 high quality games. This collection of games focuses on Xbox first party titles and award winning indie gems like Celeste.
The list is said to be updated 2-3 times a year. Whether it is all additions or if some games will be dropped, it is uncertain for now but so far, the last 2 updates were all games entering the library.
The first update was in December last year, just a few months after its launch. Two games were added at this time including Chivalry 2 and Totally Reliable Delivery Service.
Then for this year, we got one update down with three games added today: Deep Rock Galactic, Superhot: Mind Control Delete, and Wreckfest.
