It’s been a long wait for Digimon fans, but finally the tactical RPG Digimon Survive is going to be released this summer. The good news was announced by the game’s producer, Kazumasa Habu, in a video which you can watch below:
In his announcement, Kazumasa Habu apologized for keeping fans waiting for Digimon Survive updates. He also added that the team “is planning to deliver more exciting news… in all forms,” and invited fans to look forward to it and stay tuned. “We are almost there!” he said, as the video comes to an end.
Digimon Survive was announced in 2018 as part of Digimon’s 20th anniversary celebration, and was expected to launch sometime in 2019. Unfortunately it was delayed to 2020, but the pandemic forced the team to delay it again to 2021. The developers needed more time to work on the game so they decided to delay its release again to this year.
Digimon Survive is a tactical RPG which features over 100 Digimon, turn-based combat, and anime-style graphics. It will be available for PC, Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
