About this game

Papercut Mansion is a rogue-lite horror game set in a world made of paper. You play a police detective named Toby investigating a mysterious old mansion. Explore the place floor by floor as you unravel the bizarre story behind the mansion, with each run giving you the opportunity to collect pieces of evidence to be added to your permanent evidence board. The mansion also hosts a mysterious cast of characters who may in turn help or hinder your progress on each run.

• Each run offers you a new way of defining your playstyle do you want to get in close as a melee fighter or take shots from afar as a ranged marksman? As you unlock new abilities and discover different equipment each gives you a better chance of overcoming the challenges each procedurally generated run throws at you.
• Completing quests will also grant you temporary perks making each run feel truly unique because you might not get the same perks as you had before, the possibilities are endless and there is no one way to overcome the mansions with every shifting challenge.
• The mansion itself changes, each floor contains portals that might lead you to alternate versions of the same location switching up the aesthetics and gameplay. You always start in the Neocortex dimension a place that plays out like an escape room full of puzzles, and surprises.
• With a variety of enemies, quests, secrets, loot, and compelling puzzles scattered throughout the mansion, there’s always something intriguing to discover on each run so there’s always an endless number of things to keep track of.

Perhaps appropriately for a game made of paper, Paper Cut Mansion is a game with two sides. On one half of the paper is a gorgeously wrought, intriguing, and constantly surprising little dungeon crawler. On the other side of the paper is the roguelike, and it soaks through and ruins the other side. It’s too repetitive, and too much of a slog to enjoy.
