GTA 5 Next-Gen Improvements are Finally Coming

GTA 5 next-gen is finally coming, and Rockstar Games has announced its release date.

GTA 5 was supposed to launch its next-gen versions in November of 2021, however, Rockstar Games announced back in September last year that they are moving the launch to March. They did not specify an exact date at that time.

The studio has finally announced its release date, and it’s on March 15, 2022. The next-gen release on PS5 and Xbox Series will also include GTA Online.

The hugely popular game has reached another milestone, as this is its third-generation console release.

What’s in GTA 5 Next-Gen?

 

GTA 5 will be sporting a lot of upgrades and improvements fit for the next-gen experience.

  • Upgrades on texture and draw distance
  • HDR options + ray-tracing
  • Faster loading times
  • Immersive 3D audio

Aside from these, the next-gen version will also have its own standalone version of GTA Online which will be available on day one. Playstation 5 players will get this free for the first three months.

 

Improvements to GTA Online

  • Ability to skip GTA 5 Story Mode prologue (before entering GTA Online)
  • All-new Tutorial Mode
  • New players can now enter the Career Builder where they get instant access to one of four illicit businesses of their choice (Biker, Executive, Nightclub Owner, or Gunrunner)
    • An undisclosed, but sizeable amount of GTA$ players can use to purchase property, high-end vehicle, and everything required to establish their enterprise
    • Returning players will get an option to restart their character and use the Career Builder any time
  • Includes the new Hao’s Special Works auto shop where players can upgrade select vehicles (5 new and 5 existing vehicles at launch) for better driving performance
 

Is GTA 5 Next-Gen a Free Upgrade?

 

Rockstar Games has neither confirmed nor denied whether GTA 5 next-gen will be a free upgrade for current-gen players.
