About Rayman Origins

Rayman Origins is a 2D action platformer developed by Ubisoft Montpellier the fourth major title in the Rayman franchise it serves as a sequel to the first trilogy, when the glade of dreams is overrun by the “nefurrious” Darktoons, the fairy council hastily calls upon Rayman to save the day to help him Globox, and two crafty wizards, the Teensies making up the most hilarious team of heroes to restore peace to the glade, or watch their beloved home vanish like a bad dream.

• Fifteen years since the initial release of the Rayman franchise, Origins brings back many of the classic characters revived in their original 2D form, as well as a whole new world of environments and characters.
• Step into the shoes of Rayman in the Solo campaign, or have three friends jump in at any time as one of the two Teensies. Players can leave anytime without affecting the other person’s progression.
• Origins contains 60 levels designed for all ages and playing styles. Unlock new abilities progressively and return to previous levels to discover new paths and secrets. Abilities Including swimming, diving, and the sensational “HairlyCopter”.
• Fight a giant pink monster with a hundred eyes, a possessed mountain golem, an evil daisy carnivorous plant, etc. Origins will put players to the test with these many challenging boss battles!

 If you’re strapped for cash because of the holidays, get it as soon as you’re able, it’s that good and easily justifies its price tag. You won’t find a better 2D platformer with a more unique visual style. I’m glad this game landed on my desk to review, as I really enjoyed this stand-out title in this busy season.

 It’s a little bit tragic that Origins wasn’t released during a window where it could breathe a bit more freely, and take a bit of its own spotlight, away from the blinding lights of the Assassin’s Creeds, Modern Warfares, and even Super Mario Lands of the world. Origins’ hours of wonderfully crafted entertainment deserve to be seen, to be played, and to be enjoyed by as wide of an audience as possible. Seek this one out.
