Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Open Beta

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is holding an Open Beta on September 6 at 10am PT/7pm CET/1PM ET. It will run until September 9, the same time. While this is an Open Beta, meaning everyone can access, Activision is offering Early Access to selected gamers which will begin this month.

Those who are eligible to play Call of Duty Black Ops 6 beta early will get access to it starting August 30 10am PT/7pm CET/1PM ET until September 4, the same time. You can start preloading it on August 28 and will be available on all platforms the game will release on.

There will be some maps, weapons, and game modes in this first beta opening and then apparently new sets will be added for when the open beta officially comes out next month.

As for the file size, it varies depending on platform and whether you have Call of Duty HQ installed, which will drastically lower the download size. For reference, the first number is for when the HQ is installed and the second if it’s not.

There are 2 official ways to gain access to Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Open Beta. That is if you digitally pre-ordered the game, obviously before August 30, and if you have an active Game Pass subscription, which will also grant you access to the game at no additional cost. No codes or redemption steps needed for these two as your access will be automatic. The download option will be available to you immediately.

If you preordered in participating retailers however, the code will either be printed on the receipt or will be emailed to you by the retailer. From there, you can redeem it on callofduty.com/betaredeem where you will receive the beta token. This will be sent closer to when the beta starts.

The other two ways to the early access are not officially on the COD beta FAQs but have been noticed and done by fellow gamers.

First off, Xfinity Rewards. For a limited time only offer, you can visit your Xfinity app or login at xfinity.com/Rewards to claim your code. It was stated that apparently it is only for at least Gold members but some have pointed out that they were able to get a code even with a Silver status.

And for the last one, when you preorder from Amazon. This trick has been around for a while where gamers can prepurchase a game, get a code, and then cancel the order since Amazon only charges when the game actually ships. So it’s really testing out a game without strings attached, which technically an open beta is but for this case, is an early access to it which not all can get.

Some have gotten the code fairly quickly while some have not. It was pointed out on some Reddit forum that the code will arrive two days before the Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Open Beta starts. So in other words, when the preoloading starts, the latest.
